Prebiotics vs. Probiotics
A healthy intestine and digestive system have a balance of good and bad bacteria. When there is an imbalance, the intestine contains more harmful than beneficial bacteria. Generally, this is caused by the use of antibiotics, poor nutrition, and certain diseases. The result is a weakened immune system and poor health.
Probiotics
A popular method to promote good bacteria is to use probiotics. Probiotics are foreign bacteria believed to be similar to the good bacteria in the intestine. Once taken, the probiotic bacteria must first survive the stomach acid before they reach the intestine.
Prebiotics
A newer and much more successful method of re-building the good bacteria is through the use of prebiotics, specifically Inuflora. Inuflora is a highly purified form of inulin extracted from the organically grown Jerusalem artichoke plant. The more good bacteria in your system, the more efficiently the body can absorb minerals and nutrients from food. Laboratory tests show that prebiotics help grow good bacteria by billions in a single day! Also, unlike probiotics, Inuflora does not require refrigeration.
Because Inuflora does not affect blood sugar levels it is especially beneficial to diabetics. Plus, Inuflora is an excellent source of dietary fiber. One teaspoon of Inuflora powder provides as much soluble fiber as a bowl of oatmeal.

Inuflora is a soluble, non-digestible dietary fiber. It is derived from the root of the Jerusalem artichoke plant. As a prebiotic, it helps the body's own bacteria, including Bifidus, grow to support healthy fermentation in the colon.
